STAR WIRE (INDIA) VIDYUT PRIVATE LIMITED

biomass plant

Introduction

Star Wire (India) Vidyut Private Limited has set up & runs the first Independent Biomass based power plant commissioned in the state of Haryana. Our 9.9 MW Biomass Power Plant at Village Khurawata, Mahendergarh, Haryana capitalizes on agricultural waste products like mustard crop residue, julia flora, paddy straw etc. to generate clean power for export to the grid.

The plant contributes towards bridging the gap between demand and supply in the power-deficit electricity system using a renewable source, which in turn reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

Star Wire’s power generation utilizing a renewable resource such as biomass not only contributes to sustainable development of the power grid but also has the following positive effects

  • Job creation in the community through employment of skilled and unskilled personnel for operation and maintenance of the power plant equipment.

  • Additional revenue streams for farmers from discarded biomass & for transporters who engaged in transportation of materials to the project site.

  • The project displaces use of fossil fuel based power with renewable energy resulting in reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and reducing the carbon foot print..
